I got my wife chop this weekend. If you don't know what a wife chop is, check out this definition from Urban Dictionary.
Wife Chop: Women grow their hair out for their weddings and afterward cut it off, sometimes donating it. This is a wife chop.
I started growing it out 16 months before the wedding and was just so tired of it. I contemplated cutting it off a few times during the engagement, but knew I needed it as long as possible for my updo. So, I kept growing it out and kept it in a ponytail at all times. Now it's short and sassy and I love it!
Before (This was back in December, so just imagine how much longer it grew before the wedding.)
After (Excuse the lack of make-up and all around messiness)
It's so much cooler now and I can actually wear it down without dying. I'm very happy with the way it turned out!
