This evening I have something a little bit different for you, but something I am going to try and do more of... tips and ideas for you to use in your celebrations.
In the spirit of what I've been working on recently, I have compiled a brief list of BABY SHOWER games or activities. I know that if you google 'baby shower games' there will be pages, and pages of results, but what I have done is pulled a few together that I like. Ones that are fun without being too childish or tacky.
Advice cards
Have guests write a note, piece of advice, or wish for the new Mum. Peg up the wishes on
a length of twine or ribbon. Make these lovely memories to keep by using pretty note cards
or tags so that Mum can keep as a memento.
Also, you could have guests write a little message to the baby inside a favourite children's
book (example: A very hungry caterpillar). This is then a keepsake for the child too. As they
read through the book, they will come across messages from loved ones.
Guess the number
An oldie really 'guess the number of {what ever item you choose} in the jar'. Make the item
related to your theme. If you are having a high tea it could be tea bags, or vintage buttons
or something baby related like cotton buds, nappy pins etc.
Baby bingo
Make up bingo cards with a series of words that might be said at a shower. The first person
to mark off all their bingo words wins!
Mum-to-be trivia
Make up a small quiz to see how well guests know the mother to be. Think of questions
such as; due date, Mum's favourite movie, how long have Mum and Dad been together etc.
Celebrity baby name game
Research some of the crazy names that celebrities have given their children and have guests
match the celeb to the name.
I hope these help you when you are planning your next baby shower.
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend!
